About Artisan Dichroic -
We started our business in 2002, specifically to meet the fusing needs of the hobbyist and small studio owner. Since then, we have grown and now also cater to lampworkers, glass blowers, mosaic artists and pretty much anyone with a passion for glass. We have the capability to service all levels of artist, from the part-time hobbyist to the full-time professional glass artist! Our goal is to provide an outstanding variety of reasonably priced glass products, to make your shopping experience informative and efficient, and to deliver your order promptly.
We operate our business from a storefront in Vancouver, Washington where we welcome artists to come in and browse our huge selection of dichroic, sheet glass, rods, tubing and supplies. We understand that not everyone lives close enough to stop in, so we hope that our website will make you feel like you are right here in the store with us! Please contact us if you have any questions or special needs. We are happy to help!
Our online catalog is always current, including quantity in stock. However, if you notice that we are out of something that you desperately need, please feel free to contact us. Because of our location, we are often able to obtain items within a few days.
We are a retail business only, no wholesale pricing is currently available. We are not currently set up to package and/or ship glass larger than quarter sheets.
Our shop hours are 10am - 3pm PST, Monday thru Friday. You can reach us at (360)771-5617 or via email through the Contact Us link at the top of every page.
About the Glass -
We carry a extensive selection of dichroic glass from several coaters, including CBS (Coatings by Sandberg) and Austin Thin Films. Sheet dichroic glass is available in 4 x 4 in. squares, and CBS Quarter sheets, as well as samplers and scrap glass sold by weight. We also carry CBS Dichroic Frit and Stringer.
We also stock fusible sheet glass available in 4x4 and 8x10 in. pieces, as well as glass rod, frit and tubing in a variety of COE's.
Our dichroic glass photographs are taken to represent the color of the dichroic AFTER FIRING. Of course, there are many variables, but we have tried our best to capture the color shift you will see when the glass is fused or otherwise hot worked. Most photos are taken from the manufacturer's websites and represent the best example of the colors. However, because glass is a natural product, colors can and do vary slightly.
